where does governor spring attach on 3.5 hp engine, on carb or lever for throttle?

I took carb off to clean bowl and forgot where spring re-attaches on carb side

Hello,can you supply the engine numbers ? They may be stamped into the housing above the muffler.

Tecumseh engine?

No, Briggs/Stratton

No, those numbers are for a Tecumseh

Vince O. :

briggs would be 125k02-0151-01

Customer :

It might be a Tecumseh ,Its a Sears 20 inch push mower

I wasn't aware that is what they used but I guess at one time they were popular

That's all Sears used years ago. The engine crosses over to Tecumseh's TVS90-43526G. i will look for info

Vince, I just have one rod from govenor arm to a throttle lever saying low / high so I assume spring would go
