Do not connect anything to the center terminal of the relay - it is empty for a reason.

Connecting a wire to this terminal will run 12V through the wire.

The negative terminal of the coil should only contain the black wire from the ignition module, and nothing else.

The positive terminal should hold the red wire from the ignition module, the capacitor wire, and 2 other wires.

Where is the ignition module on the unit, and what does it look like. I really could use a wiring diagram for the whole generator as there are other wires that are not connected from a plug in connecter and all the wires are white with some sort of code writing on them.

The ignition module is mounted in between the engine and genhead, from the top.

There will be a white sleeve with 2 wires in it - black and red.

It is held in by 2 screws.
