I have a wizard riding mower with a 14.5 hp briggs and stratton

Customer Question

I have a wizard riding mower with a 14.5 hp briggs and stratton motor. I had a problem with the carb pouring out gas. I pulled the carb off and disassemblied it. The float was stuck open with a crud of rust in the carb bowl. I blew out and cleaned the carb and put it back together. Now the mower will not start. I have a good spark and have shot it with starter fluid. The mower just backfires. Can you help me.
