The inner cable should just have a z bend that connect to the throttle linkage plate. What are the model numbers off of the engine?
Customer: replied 7 years ago.
The carby end is not a problem. It is the control lever end. I can't determine whether the inner wire should go over the screw that secures the lever to the handle or not. The engine is a Briggs & Stratton the model is MTD 662A.

Can you take a picture of the setup?
