The ignition coils will both have a small wire that plugs into them. Unplug the small wires from the modules and then crank the engine over and look for spark. Let me know and we will continue.

unplugged the wires got spark. what now

Expert:  J.R. replied 7 years ago.
That means you have a short somewhere or a bad safety switch. Those wires ground out the ignition modules. Check the wires you unplugged for any bare spots. I have seen several times where rodents(mice) will eat the insulation off of the wires and shrt them out.

why does it fire when only one wire is unpluged
Expert:  J.R. replied 7 years ago.
Check for that wire being bad. Will it fire with either one unplugged?
Customer: replied 7 years ago.
Yes
Expert:  J.R. replied 7 years ago.
I need t odo some research on the wiring. I will be back shortly.
Expert:  J.R. replied 7 years ago.
The wires that you are unplugging have diodes in them. It sounds like the harness may be bad.
