Customer Question

My honda Eu2000i Generator won't start. It was working just fine last week. And when i went to go start it up today the pull-start cable only pulls about about 6" and just stops like somthings holding it back?

Optional Information:
Make: Honda
Model: Eu2000i

Already Tried:
I read somewhere that these generator might lock up if they get low on oil, so i changed the oil a few minutes ago but it still wont pull.

Changing the oil may not help here, remove the starter, place a proper socket on the nut that holds the flywheel on and try to turn the engine over clockwise! It may break free, but if it locked up, the damage has been done and an engine rebuild is in order! HONDA engines are made to tight tolerances and are easily damaged if run low on oil! SORRY
