no parts available for this?
Expert:  Rick replied 7 years ago.

Russ is pretty thorough and a real professional, but I hate to see a customer with a unit not running. Do you mind if I ask a few questions?

Is this a Briggs Overhead Valve engine?

Customer: replied 7 years ago.

yes
Expert:  Rick replied 7 years ago.

That has a 10 HP Briggs and Stratton Overhead Valve engine. If it's a problem with no spark, we can probably locate the part you need for it.

First, have you tried it with a new spark plug to make sure it's not a bad plug?

Customer: replied 7 years ago.
yes new plug
Expert:  Rick replied 7 years ago.

Are you comfortable with doing a bit of troubleshooting?

Also, on the metal shroud covering the engine cylinder tere will be three sets of numbers I need, please. Model, type, and code. Will you include them in your reply please?

Thank you!

Customer: replied 7 years ago.
im sorry i thoroughly looked on cylinder cover i see nothing looks like i only have model #
Expert:  Rick replied 7 years ago.

Coleman doesn't provide information on the engine, so I'm not sure which one you have, but I'm supposing you have a model 204412 of some sort.

What you are describing sounds like a bad ignition module, a common failure. To be sure we need to do a bit of troubleshooting. Do you want to proceed?
