I have a 42 in. Cub Cadet ZTR w/100 hrs. and the PTO will not engage. What should I be looking for?
The problem could be a bad pto switch, wiring or pto clutch. You will need to obtain a voltmeter. You will want to find the wires coming from the electric clutch and unplug it. You will want to check for voltage on the wires that goes back towards the switch for voltage with the pto switch on. If you have voltage, then you likely have a bad pto clutch. If you have no voltage the switch is bad or the wiring is bad.
