I have A Troy built zero turn mower after i have used the mower for about 15 minutes the left hydro gear motor begins to whine and does not work right ,after I Let it cool down it well begin to work again ?
Take the mower back to where you got it and ask them to either reair it or give you you're money back. Then you could go and buy a "Good" mower.
This is not an uncommon problem. But because it is so new, you don't want to mess with it yourself. That is why they have warranty programs. There are many better mowers to choose from, though..
Try a Toro, Snapper, Jd, Simplicity, ...or any other brand for that matter.
This Mower has gone out of warranty and was setting for about 1 year it only has 12 hours on it
Sorry, I didn't know that it was out of warranty. These usually have a 2 or 3 year warranty...you might check on the owners manual or check the Tro-bilt website to see exactly how long the warranty is for your unit.
Suggestions to repair it are as folows:
You may have low oil levels on the hydro. Since these are usually sealed units, you may have to take it to a dealer for them to check the oil in it. and replace the oil if needed.
You may just have some air in the lines from the unit sitting for so long. If this is the case, you may have to move the levers back and forth fromforward to reversed about 25 times and see if you can get the air bled out.
Nost likely it is low oil since you can wait for it to cool and then it is ok. You also may just have a bad hydro pump.
This is usually a job for a professional. I still reccommend you take it to aGOOD repair shop that is an authorized for MTD products.
