Hi, thank you for contacting JustAnswer.com. My name is Russell. I will do my best to provide the right answer to your question.

Please tell me whether you have a jammed spool (of thread) in a sewing machine, or some other sort of machine's jammed spool...?

If it is a spool of film, e.g. in a camera or in a projector, then you probably need to open it in a dark room - or a room lit dimly by one red light-bulb or fairly bright red LED light (because those types of light affect camera film less) and free up the jam.

But let me know more, and I will advise you further.
