I just purchased a Kitchenaide Coffee/12 cups on June 11, 2012 through the telephone. I set the machine up on my counter and decided to wait until today, Sunday, June 17th to have my first cup of coffee. I pour cold water in the removable water tank.... did not remove tank... added water directly. Measured and added coffee into the brew basket, made sure the glass carafe in it's place. I press the mode button 4 times and then the Brew button. No coffee is in the carafe, nor is it been brewed.
I have read the booklet several times, removed the electric plug and plugged it back in, jiggled the water tank to be sure it is in place.......

Yes, I still need help.
After letting the Kitchenaide coffee pot, model #KCM111OB, sit for 24 hours, I refill the water tank, added the coffee grounds, plugged into the grounded 3-prong outlet and pushed the Brew button once.
The Brew button is flashing off and on, but no water is being pulled from the water tank and today , the hot plate under the glass carafe is not hot.
Hi, I just check my plugged in coffee pot and still no coffee. I will be unplugging it and some time tomorrow will be shipping it back to the Kitchenaide company.

I found my help by telephoning Kitchenaide office direct.
When I push the Brew button to start the pot, I was leaving my finger on the Brew button too long of a period. So now I just barely touch the button and the coffee pot starts to brew my coffee.
