Customer Question

The metal ring around the attachement end of my KSM90 Ultra power mixer keeps falling off. I have tried hammering it on, but it comes right off as soon as the mixer starts. What can I do to keep this on? I am afraid I will get hurt or have to throw what I am making because of shards of metal.

Hello, my name is XXXXX XXXXX X am here to assist you. Okay, that ring is nothing more than pressed on and usually take a hammer and a screwdriver to tap it off. If the ring keeps falling then you need to replace as it has become deformed in a way that it will keep falling off. Using a hammer can make matters worse if it gets "bowed" out. I am sending you a link to a diagram and the part is #42 on the diagram. Now, you can go without the ring but that isn't a very good idea since it protects anything from splashing up inside the gears. You can also order the part from the link I send you. I am here for further assistance and thank you for your time and patience, Randy.
