I have a Haier energy star dehumidifier that I cant get to work - pruchased a couple of weeks ago and the manual got thrown out. it is getting power, but wont run - bucket light is off. TX

The light off could indicate that the bucket is not installed correctly. Try removing it and then inserting it again. If it is loose or not making contact with the indicator it might not power on. This is usually a feature used to stop the machine from overflowing or operating without a receptacle.
