I an guarantor for a loan taken out by someone who has become bankrupt. Does the bankrupt person have rights over original loan account if I am the sole payer?
Hi

Thank you for your question. My name is XXXXX XXXXX I will try to help with this.

Thanks for your interest in me but bankruptcy isnt really my area.

I will pass this onto somebody who can help.
Thank you for your question.

The bank is wrong. When some is made bankrupt in Scotland all of their accounts are frozen and the only person who has access is the trustee in bankruptcy.

Happy to discuss further if you give me more information.

I hope this helps. Please remember to leave a positive rating so that I am credited for my time.
