How long are transcripts of scottish court proceedings kept

This answer was rated:

How long are transcripts of scottish court proceedings kept for?

How would you go about getting a copy of a court transcript?
Thank you for your question.

Do you mean judgments?

They are kept in the Act Books of Court and for some time now many are put online at www.scotcourts.gov.uk. These are freely available to look up.

The ones not online can be got from the court if you know the parties and preferably the case number.

I hope this helps. Please leave a positive response so that I am credited for my time.

Do you have to physically visit the court to get a copy of the transcript, or can a copy be requested via mail/email etc?

You should go to the court.
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

I will get in contact with the local sheriff court as I think it's the most likely place the matter was heard.

Are there any other courts I should be checking?

OK I hope you are successful.

No luck. Are there any other courts I should be checking?

The Court of Session in Edinburgh perhaps.
