Hi, I share custody of my 15 year old daughter (50/50) with my ex husband who I divorced 10 years ago. We live in Scotland. My daughter does not want to stay with him any more. How can she go about achieving this? She is thinking she can't do anything until at least age 16 or even 18.
Thank you for your question.

From the age of 12 your daughter can decide where she wants to stay. See the Children (Scotland) Act 1995. Unless there is a good reason to the contrary your daughter can decide where and with whom she wants to stay.

I hope this helps. Please leave a positive response so that I am credited for my time.
