Should we reply to his solicitors letter? Or should we ignore it completely? I would appreciate an opinion as I am not sure if we should send a reply ourselves or through a solicitor. Thanks
Hello,Yes, it is important to reply to the solicitors letter. Explain what we talked about - set out the terms of the agreement and confirm that you intend to comply with the terms and repay the monies when they become due. Further, confirm that you will defend vigorously any claim which is brought against you. You do it through a solicitor if you wish but there is no need to incur that expense for now. If a claim is issued against you, you may decide at that point that you wish to be represented by a solicitor. Even then, it is your decision. Best wishesJohn
