With reference to the data protection act. Recently, I have been complaing to BT via an e mail link from their website, which resulted in them asking me to contact their sub contractor, Open reach, direct. I refused. Subsequently, BT sent one of my letters to Openreach, and they have responded to my personal e mail address twice, the second time to inform me that they cannot deal direct with a service providers customer. Should BT have released my personal e mail details to Openreach without my prior knowledge, and is this a breach of the act?
Optional Information: System of Law: Scots Already Tried: BT complaints service via their website.
