Hello, my name is***** of the time this is caused by a thermostat that is failing and not opening and closing correctly or you may have a radiator that is clogged or a failing radiator fan. I would start by making sure that the fans come on when the engine is starting to over heat. If they are then you should start with the thermostat as that is the most common failure. It can also be a small leak in the head gasket, but if the engine has never overheated too much then that should not be a problem.
