2008 Saturn Vue key stuck in ignition on ACC position. Wheel will not turn and shifter will not move

It sounds like the key interlock is stuck. Do you have a multi-meter to do some electrical testing?

1. At the solenoid at the column, try to confirm 12 volts on the Purple/White feeding to the solenoid.

2. Verify Black wire is a good chassis ground.

3. If no voltage on the Purple/White, go to the shifter assembly to check power in and out of the switch that controls the solenoid.

4. It should have 12 volts on the Yellow wire feeding to the switch and then out on the Purple/White when shifter is in park. The Yellow wire gets power from the KEY CAP fuse on the inside fuse box.
