I had my Saturn 2000 L series wagon serviced at Pep Boys for a new battery and alternator. They don't know how to deactivate the battery signal on the dashboard. Can u tell me how it!s done?

This is because the PCM has an issue.
The Voltage Regulator is part of the PCM.
It is NOT allowing Charging or the PCM is defective

The PCM can increase idle speed to boost generator output if battery voltage drops below specification.

If charging circuit malfunctions PCM signals I/P cluster to illuminate charge telltale.

Use of Dealer Scan Tool is needed to Test Charge Rate & the PCM.
