I have a 2007 Saturn Sky Redline
- I tried to start it and when I turned the key it just went click so thinking the battery was dead I put it on a trickle charger, got it up to 15 v., tried to start it again and when I turned the key it went click again

Even if the battery has 12 or more volts, it may still be bad. Try turning on the headlamps and then turn the car over. If the lights go out or dim then the battery is bad. You can have it load tested at your local auto parts store to find out if the battery is bad or not. They can do this with the battery inside the car or if you just bring in the battery. A load test will show what the voltage does under a load. If the voltage drops below 9.6 volts under a load, the battery is bad. A sulfated battery will have 12.6 volts more with no load but will drop below specs under a load and would need to be replaced.
