Customer Question

My 2002 Saturn SL1 has been "ding-ding-dinging" for months! Brake light on; alarm bell rings nonstop when car is in motion; brakes OK; ABS has also been "grinding" for quite some time for no apparent reason; help -- it's driving me crazy.

Country: United States
Make: Saturn
Model: SL1
Year: 2002

Already Tried:
two guys looked at it and can't figure it out; does not appear to be electrical; A few times (very few) if I pressed the emergency break handle sideways and held it a bit the very loud dinging stopped for short periods.

This actually sounds like you may have a bad switch on the emergency brake and it's telling you that it is on

Customer replied 296 days and 6 hours ago.

So you're saying it IS electrical? If this is true, where is the switch located so I can ask someone to help me with it? Is it under the hood? Is it located near the emergency brake handle? Is there a name for the switch?
