I have driven over 2000 miles. I went to get a smog test. They said I was rejected because of my computer. Yes the battery was undone 2000 miles ago. Shouldnt it reset by now?

Some states will give you a free retest if you computer isn't "ready for testing". For a 1996, yes it should have reset by now. Do you drive both in the city and on the highway in your normal routine? Your car will have to see all driving conditions to reset properly.

Let me know how it works out after you do some highway driving. At our shop we would check you car for free to see if it was "ready for testing". You may want to check with your shop to see if they will do the same. Please let me know if you need any more help!
