Hello and thank you for your post. I am a master certified GM tech, with 15 years Saturn experience, and can help you to resolve your issue.the most common causes of these symptom are a bad fuel pump and a bad engine crank position sensorthe way to know which is bad is to check if you have spark when this happensif you have no spark then the crank position sensor is most likely bad'if you do have spark then the fuel pump is most likely badhowever if the dash cluster is going dead when this happens, then neither appliesso if you are 100% certain that the dash cluster is going dead (no warning lights with the key on, gas gage and temp gage inoperative etc...) then I suspect you have a loose connection either between the battery and the under hood fuse box, a loose fuse terminal in the under hood fuse box or abed connection between the under hood fuse box and the engine control module, instrument panel or in dash fuse boxtry wiggling wires and fuses and see if you can induce this symptomthe under hood fuse panel has a lot of wires going to it in the wheel well above the plastic wheel well liner.to get at them you have to remove the linerlet me know if I can assist in any way with this
