Periodically one of my front turn signal lights will go out on my 2003 saturn ion, for a while it was just the left but a couple days ago the right did too, they stay off for several days then come back like there was never a problem, while the light is out when I try to turn my turn signal on it flashes quickly (on the dash and back light) as if the bulb just needs to be replaced, I've tried replacing them and it had no effect.

Hello and thank you for your post. I am a master certified GM tech, with 15 years Saturn experience, and can help you to resolve your issue.if this only happens when you are using the power outlet to power a cell phone charger, let me know.if it happens without a cell phone charger, the wire harnesses inside the headlamps themselves need replacingthe sockets melt internally and cause an intermittent connection with the bulb.there was a recall that had us add resistors to the circuit for the drl's which if never done, needs to be done. (call chevy dealer and ask them to check if the recall was done) but if it has been done, replace the harness inside the headlamp to fix this issue and put in new bulbs.do NOT use just any bulb, use ONLY the bulb number for that vehicle as a different bulb may burn hotter and melt the socket.if you are not 100% positive that the bulbs are the right #, buy them at Chevy and specify what bulbs you need and only buy the GM part # XXXXXhope this helps
Wow. Never received notification this was answered, sorry about that, I do leave a cell phone charger in there usually but I just tried unplugging it and checking then started the car and checked again, front turn signal not turning on, how would I go about ordering this part? ( looked at rockauto briefly and couldn't find it)
you can purchase it through a GM dealer.I am sorry but I do not have access to the part#'s for the bulb or the harness but they should be able to give that to you. That is their job Good luck
