    Object Number:(NNN) NNN-NNNN Size: SH

  1. Remove the battery. .
  2. Remove the battery cooling box. .
  3. Remove the battery tray and bracket. .
  4. Disconnect the shifter cable. Remove the air induction resonator and bracket. Disconnect the transmission range switch harness from the transmission range switch.
    Object Number:(NNN) NNN-NNNN Size: SH

  5. Disconnect the transmission harness connector from the valve body.
  6. Remove the headlamp fasteners.
  7. Wire the radiator to the radiator core support in order to hold the radiator in place as the cradle is removed.

  8. Install the special toolObject Number:(NNN) NNN-NNNN Size: SH

  9. Remove 1 upper transmission-to-engine bolt.

  10. Remove the upper left transmission mount bolts.
  11. Raise and support the vehicle. Remove the right wheel and tire assembly.
  12. Remove the left inner splash shield.
  13. Remove the front bumper air deflector. Object Number: 866174  Size: SH

  14. Remove the lower tube assembly and drain the fluid.
    Object Number: 866183  Size: SH

  15. Disconnect the transmission cooler lines. Object Number:(NNN) NNN-NNNN Size: SH

  16. For all-wheel drive (AWD) vehicles, disconnect the drive shaft from the transfer case (PTU) . Object Number:(NNN) NNN-NNNN Size: SH

  17. Disconnect the lower stabilizer nut from the cradle on both sides of vehicle.
  18. Remove the rack and pinion bolts from the cradle.

  19. Disconnect the tie rod. Remove the front pitch restrictor bolts and front pitch restrictor.

  20. Remove the rear pitch restrictor through-bolt.
  21. Support the cradle with cradle support.
    Object Number:(NNN) NNN-NNNN Size: SH

  22. Remove the cradle fasteners and lower the cradle onto a support table.
  23. Separate the left axle shaft from the transmission. For front wheel drive (FWD) vehicles, separate the right intermediate drive shafts. For AWD vehicles, separate the right axle shaft from the transfer case (PTU). Remove the starter. .

  24. Remove the starter bolts and starter.
  25. Turn the crank clockwise to gain access to the torque converter-to-flexplate bolts.
  26. Remove the torque converter-to-flexplate bolts through the starter hole.

  27. For AWD vehicles, remove the transfer case (PTU) . Object Number:(NNN) NNN-NNNN Size: SH

  28. Secure the transmission to a transmission jack.
  29. Remove the lower transmission-to-engine bolts.

    Important:

    The torque converter has a long pilot shaft. Do not put excessive load on the shaft. Do not lower the transmission until the shaft is clear of the engine crankshaft.
    Do not damage the mating surfaces of the engine or transmission.

     

  30. Separate the transmission from the engine.
  31. Lower the transmission carefully.
  32. Remove the torque converter and differential housing O-ring seal.
  33. Reverse to reinstall transmission.

you did not say anything about do u take the trans mission apart from motor or take it out together and how do u get to the torqe converter bolts

  • remove the transmission from the motor
  • Turn the crank clockwise to gain access to the torque converter-to-flexplate bolts.
  • Remove the torque converter-to-flexplate bolts through the starter hole.
