Hi,

here you go:

  1. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct assembly as follows:
    1. Loosen clamp at the air cleaner assembly and the front outlet duct seal assembly.
    2. Remove the attachment bolt from the support bracket.
    3. Remove the outlet resonator/duct assembly.

  2. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  3. Remove the engine coil bolts.
  4. Remove the engine coils.
  5. Remove the spark plugs.

To install:

 

  1. Install the new spark plugs
  2. Install the ignition coils.
  3. Install the engine coil bolts. Tighten the bolts to 106 inch lbs. (12 Nm).
  4. Connect the electrical connectors.
  5. Install the air cleaner outlet duct assembly.

  1. Disconnect the electrical connectors.

  3. Install the engine coil bolts. Tighten the bolts to 106 inch lbs. (12 Nm).

how difficult is this procedure and do i need a torque wrench?
Hi,

It should only take 30-45 minutes to do and isnt hard at all. You dont need a torque wrench for this. Hand tight with a ratchet is sufficient for the bolts

what should the gap be? they are pre-gapped at 0.040

Adjust spark plug gap to 0.043 inch (1.1mm).

sorry eric....last question....what size are the hex nuts to remove the coils? Or what size will i need to remove them?

they are 8mm or 10mm. It has been a little while since I have done these, but i know it is one of those two sizes
