Important: ATF level increases as it heats up. Therefore, inspect the ATF level at its normal operating temperature, on a flat level surface, to ensure accuracy.
Important: If the ATF level on the fluid level indicator is different from front to back when inspecting, add or remove ATF until the lower of the two readings is within the correct level.

TRANSAXLE FLUID CHECKING PROCEDURE It is not necessary to check fluid level unless fluid has been changed or a leak is suspected.CAUTION: MAKE SURE VEHICLE IS PROPERLY SUPPORTED AND SQUARELY POSITIONED ON THE HOIST. TO HELP AVOID PERSONAL INJURY WHEN A VEHICLE IS ON A HOIST, PROVIDE ADDITIONAL SUPPORT FOR THE VEHICLE ON THE OPPOSITE END FROM WHICH COMPONENTS ARE BEING REMOVED. IMPORTANT: Inspect fluid level only when engine is off. Ensure the vehicle is level. The transaxle must be cold.
