Headlamp Replacement

Preliminary Procedure

  1. Remove the front bumper fascia fasteners from the center and side of the headlamp to be removed, full removal of the fascia is not necessary.
  2. Gently pull the fascia forward to allow clearance to remove the headlamp assembly.

10 N·m (89 lb in)

Headlamp Assembly

Tip
Lift upward and pull the headlamp forward to disconnect the forward lamp harness electrical connector.

Front Turn Signal Lamp Bulb Replacement

Remove either the LF or RF headlamp assembly. Refer to head lamp replacement .

Park and Turn Signal Lamp Bulb Socket

Tip
Rotate the bulb socket a quarter turn counter-clockwise and remove from the headlamp housing.

Tip
Pull the park turn lamp straight from the socket.

The frame behind the bulb seems to keep me from having enough room to pull the bulb socket straight back after I have rotated it.

That is why you have to remove th hole head lamp assembly

Thanks. Will the screws/bolts I have to remove in order to remove the whole headlamp assembly be obvious. I'm not much of a mechanic and took it to the dealer yesterday but the wait was 2 1/2 hours and they assured me I could do this myself. Anything you think I need to be cautious about so I don't break it?

You have to loosen the front fascia bolts and retainers to get the out. Ken
