We are attempting to locate electrical low-pressure switch.
Expert:  BigBob replied 7 years ago.
You are not charging the system?

Trying to. We cannot get the compressor to kick in.

This system uses only a high side switch.
Customer: replied 7 years ago.

The freon is apparently low because there is no cooling & we can't make the compressor come on to accept freon.

Expert:  BigBob replied 7 years ago.
Try jumping the high side switch and see if it will come on. Do you have a volt tester to check and see if the compressor has power and ground?

Bob

We have checked the high side switch voltage wire 3-prong plug - one is ground - one has 5 1/2 volts the other has 5 volts.
Expert:  BigBob replied 7 years ago.
Does this have a an ambient temp sensor? Does it show outside temp? Is the temp correct or way off? Test for 12 volts on the Dark Green wire in terminal B at the A/C compressor clutch connector. Test for ground on the Black wire at the A/C compressor clutch connector.

Compressor shows 0. no voltage but have ground. I assume it is electrical. I figure I will most likely have to take to dealer. Thank you for your help.
