Wipers are on high at all times even with key off have power on the pink/blue wire at all times with wiper motor unplugged. Have tech 2 but no saab card to check switch so i unplugged the wiper switch and have the same condition. Low speed and intermittent speeds do not work. Thinking there is possibly a problem/short in the underhood fusebox? Ideas?

Greetings JACUSTOMER, pink/blue wire is the wiper Park supply power and should have power at all times. Sounds like a faulty wiper motor. But before changing separate UEC (Underhood Electrical Center) and check all connections for tight contact and no corrosion. I have seen both components cause the problem you describe...Also note the UEC has logic and is not just a fuse/relay panel....If I can assist further please let me know...jeffrey590

I don't see any power changes on any of the other wires to wiper motor while changing the switch is this normal due to the logic control? or should I see a power change when the switch is changed?

Hello again, there will be no power changes ...only resistance changes on a 0v-5v parameter which will control the other lower speeds...Also see if the washers are operational...if they are not then the way this vehicle is wired the wiper motor assembly would be the likely failure...I know it sounds odd but thats the way the system is designed...If I can assist further please let me know...jeffrey590

the washers do work in the motor does not change speeds with the switch if that makes any difference

Hello again, The stalk only sends a digital signal to the Underhood Electrical Center...So you need a Tech2 scan tool to enter the "READ VALUES" screen to actually see the switch changing positions...I can tell you I have NEVER encountered a faulty switch as of yet for this problem...Either wiper motor is faulty or UEC connections are loose/corroded...Possibly UEC logic may be compromised also; but this too is not a common failure...if I can assist further please let me know...jeffrey590
