Hi - I have a 1999 9-3 5-door. I used the key to unlock the driver's door, then reached back and unlocked the passenger door by hand. The alarm started going off, so I closed the door, and used the key to lock / unlock all doors. Alarm keeps going off, so I used the remote control to lock, unlock all doors. Yet, the alarm keeps going off. Any ideas?
Greetings JACUSTOMER, Can you please tell me what happens when you insert key in ignition and try to start vehicle?? Does it crank over; or is there no sound at all?? Also has siren ever sounded before for no apparent reason?? Thanks...jeffrey590
Hi Jeffrey590 - Thanks for trying to help. It turns out that the problem was an odd one (I found it on the Saab.net forum): The lock/unlock button in the central panel was stuck, and this triggers the car's "panic" mode, which is why the alarm would not shut off. Thanks,Damon
Greetings Damon, have seen many of these...Glad you are on the road again...jeffrey590
