I have a saab 93 that will not start with the ignition but will start by jump the starter have replace the relay and still will not start with the ignition will the anti theft keep it from starting

I have a anti theft light on the dash that flash when the key is off no light on in side the car . The anti theft light flash when i turn the key to start
Good morning. That light coming on when you turn the key to start, is indicating that the immobilizer system is preventing the car from starting. Do you have a second key that you can try? It is possible that the key has failed.

Ok, here is what we need to do, we have to find someone that can plug into the vehicle and see if any codes are set for the antitheft or immobilizer. Anything related to the key programming. If you find that, you most likely have a faulty key. You definitely do not want to purchase a key without the proof that the key is to blame, but there is no doubt, that system is truly intervening with the starting of your car. If it is, there will be a trace present in the computer. Normally I tell people to seek out parts stores like Autozone and allow them to retrieve the codes for free, but in this instance, naturally the car is immobile, but we may need to go a step deeper and have to access other system beyond the Engine control related codes.
