JA: Just to clarify, what's the exact code? And have you tried to reset it?
Customer: please tell me this does not need to be replaced
JA: What is the model/year of your RV?
Customer: dotrc17ss/2006 year
JA: Are you fixing your RV yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: nothing yet that is why I am asking you
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: this oven has only been used probably a total of 6 months to year the previous owners never used it

Hi my name is Robert....

This will need to be replaced, this F-5 code indicates a sensor issue inside the microwave and there are no replacement parts that Dometic offers. So it will need to be replaced, click HERE for one article that has an option to what you have, lots of known issues with the F-5 code and the unit needing to be replaced. Hope this helps some....
