Hi! My name is ***** ***** I can assist you with this. I may need some additional information from you first in order to give a complete answer.
If the battery(s) are over 3 years old, there is a good chance they need replacing and you should have them load tested to be sure that they are viable. Most places that sell batteries can do this for you. Just be sure you take a photo of the cables or mark them so you get them back the same way. Easy to get this wrong if you don't. Clean the cables, including the ground lead to the chassis. Most slideout issues are a result of batteries and cables not being up to par. As far as the manually moving the slide, it depends on who made your hardware. Let me know if there is any name on the switch or key switch and I can offer more on that.
Since I haven't heard back from you am I to presume that you were able to resolve this o.k. or do you still need some additional input from me here?
