Customer Question

I have a 2002 Alpine Coach motorhome with two roof AC's. The rear AC will not communicate with the thermostat. I had it diagnosed by a RV repair shop that told me it needs a new cable between the front and rear AC. I bought a new cable, hooked it up, but NOTHING happened. Yet I can plug a common house phone cable into both, and the rear AC comes on, but does not work correctly. Any ideas? James Garrett
JA: Have you checked the Freon level?
Customer: No I haven't. I have no way to do so.
JA: What is the model of your '02 RV?
Customer: Alpine Coach by Western RV
JA: Are you fixing your RV yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I'm trying to. The RV shops around here and within 100 miles are booked for 4 to 6 weeks.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: I found a mouse nest in an overhead light fixture near the front AC unit. I do not know if it chewed any wiring or not.
