Expert:  Randall replied 1 year ago.

I don't have any information on Catapiller generators. I will opt out of this question and allow another tech to offer something.

Hello, my name is ***** ***** I am going to assist you with this.

The most likely cause of your issue is that the genset is no longer producing any power.

Connect a voltmeter to the output leads of the genset, and press and hold the start button to keep the engine running for a few seconds.

How much voltage do you see?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
122 volt
Expert:  Hank F. replied 1 year ago.

Inside the control box, there are 3 relays.

One of them will have a jumper wire between pins 30 and 85.

Test this wire while cranking the genset.

Do you have 12V to this wire while cranking?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
The control box you are talking about is the one on top of the generator?
I am racing this week end so I will work on it Monday I had to leave it home to hot without the a/c
Expert:  Hank F. replied 1 year ago.

Yes, the control box is where the start switch is located.
