I am getting a very abnormal reading on my transfer switch.

I am getting a very abnormal reading on my transfer switch. 240 volts between neutral and black lead while on shore power. Shore power checks with 120 volts between neutral and black and nuetral and red. thi problem doe not happen on genset power.

Not sure which is correct here........the "240 volts between neutral and black on shore power" or further down where you relate that it is "120 volts between neutral and black......" so which is it?
