Coachman Country coach: My motor home battery went completely

Customer Question

My motor home battery went completely dead. Could this possibly cause issues with my Alison 5 speed tranny? It does not shift into second or third

Hi my name is***** voltage can cause all kinds of issues, so if the problem did not go away with a new battery then I suspect something internally is going on with the transmission and this would need to be looked at by an Allison dealer. Could be a bad solenoid, control box etc really hard to say. Make sure your chassis battery voltage is about 14 volts at 1500 rpm's and make sure all the battery cables are clean and tight and the main chasssis ground is clean and tight. If you are still having issues with good voltage then I would have Allison take a look at this, that would be the best spot for this to be looked at... Hope this helps...Robert
