My flashers & blinkers were working fine on my trip from MN

Customer Question

My flashers & blinkers were working fine on my trip from MN to ***** initially when I started it and hooked up my tow car at home they did not work. After about one hour of having it running waiting for my local freightliner service center to be able to get me into the shop to try and diagnose the problem they started working as soon as got on the move to the service center. They thought I may have a bad flasher modal so I did purchase one, as the two I have under the dash were working fine. Now after being in Fl for 2+ months in preperation for the trip home I tried the blinkers and flashers and again they are not working. We have tested and do have power to both flasher module but they do not seem to be working. The flasher module we have are the mechanical ones. Do you have any suggestions as to my next step?

Hi I'm Wayne

I will help you with this

if you unhook the tow vehicle, will they start to work ??

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
The vehicle is not hooked up now
Expert:  Wayne replied 11 months ago.

Thank you for that

My thoughts are a weak circuit breaker

if you have a test light, probe the circuit breakers on both sides

make sure you have voltage to each side

I hope this helped you

We have already checked the fuses power to both sides. We hve no actual circuit breaker anywhere we can see.

Thank you for that

if the flashers and blinkers are both out

they are on the same power circuit

so that is saying no power, Body buldiers put the fuses in different spots

so look under the dash, under the sink,in the cabinet and under the hood

I appreciate your thoughts, but you haven't anything we haven't thought of and tried

Thank you for that

and Thank you for being a stand up person, saying that

Ratter then a poor service , not being there , just suggestions

another Thought, it all runs thru the T/S switch , power in and out

this may be your issue
