One common component I have seen fail and cause shut down issues like this here is the crank sensor itself. Most engines use this type of sensor and it heats up and under extreme heat or wear with mileage on the engine it starts to fail. The most common time for it to act up/fail is when coming to a stop or at a stop after a drive. If this has not been checked into to see if this is the cause of the fault here this needs done and if found at fault it will need replaced.
