I replaced the deep cell batteries on my 1992 pace arrow

Customer Question

I replaced the deep cell batteries on my 1992 pace arrow bounder. Quite possibly I wired them together incorrectly. And may not have unplugged from the camp ground before starting the engine. The volt gauge went up to past 18 volts and melted the positive battery post. Now after a alternator rebuild the Ford 460 still discharges hard. Motor barely runs. Help me figure this out please

The problems with miswiring the batteries are many and I don't think that can be resolved here. Some hands on testing is going to be needed. I would call a mobile tech over to assist you in this. Nevertheless, I will opt out of this question so another tech might offer something if they feel they can be helpful here.

I hate not to be able to resolve a question, but these are usually just too complex to do in this format..........sorry I wasn't able to help out here.
