Randall, We recently bought a 1997 Aerolite 5th wheel

Customer Question

Hi Randall, I am Cindy. We recently bought a 1997 Aerolite 5th wheel camper. The drivers side lift/landing jack will not lower, and we are looking how to repair it. My hubby is a do-it-yourselfer, which means he wants to try to repair this. It is a mechanical jack system. Thoughts? Causes? Thanks

It works on a screw principal......and they have a set of gears on top that can go bad. Those come right off. Most people who are somewhat mechanically inclined can do this. Parts are readily available. Please let me know if you need more on this and I can supply it. All follow ups are included in our fee.
