Customer Question

Randall, I, too have a ccc2 question. We have three ac's. We were getting an e1 error that stopped for a while when we in plugged the thermostat and then reset. Next time we tried that the rj11 connect came off the board. We bought a new ccc2, but it doesn't see the zones, and won't even control the zone 1 a.c.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Terry

Did you set the dip switches properly? Most of the time, this is the problem on a new installation. Check that and get back to me if you still need more assistance as all follow ups are included in our fee. R.J.

Where are the dip switches? I pulled the cover off one unit and I see none

In the control module.......and be sure you still have power to it. And did you program the new control or it just won't?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Where would the control module be? Is it one per ac unit?
Everything has power.
Didn t change dip switches. Can't even find them.
Didn t 'program' the ccc2: I just plugged it in and did the reset process.
It shows zone 4 , and a flashing 1

Do you still have the instruction sheet that came with the new thermostat? IF SO, follow that procedure to program it. I think from what you have shared that is all that is wrong here. IF you don't have it let me know and I can provide a copy. R.J.

Instructions ended at resetting after install.
It's the 11 button ,ccc2

Go to the following link and print out a copy.......follow that and then get back to me if you are still having trouble.

Randall, I'm still missing something fundamental.
I've taken the ccc2 apart again and I see no dip switches.
I've take the cowl off one of the a.c. Units and I see no dip switches.
Is there a control board between the ccc2 and the individual a.c. Units?
Thanks,
Terry

The dip switches are on the control board and if you didn't change them they should be fine. I think you just need to program the new CC2 t-stat. You can do the diagnostics on it as well as that manual shows. Were you able to access that and print out a copy?

there's a control board which I have not yet found with the dip switches. They shouldn't have changed but I'd still like to check them.
Programming the ccc2: after plugging in and doing a reset, I only see zone 4
when I put it in diagnostic mode, I only have zone 4 available, and mine of the diagnostic codes do anything.

The control board is visible when you remove the ceiling grill...........gray box. The lid comes off when you remove the screws. Dip switches are very small and hard to read sometimes.
