Have 77 Winnebago 440 dodge motor coil only has 5 volts going to it will fire as I turn key off. Put in new distributor with point to go around the electronic ignition still same thing fire as I turn key off.tried the old hot wire trick from coil to battery I am stuck

Voltage to the coil comes from the ignition switch. You must trace that wire, most likely from the fuse panel from the switch and find out where the degradation is.

Personally, I wouldn't replace anything until I trace the power lead, with a VOM, until I found out where the voltage drop is. This could be a wire gnawed through by mice, a corroded fuse. A Little time is a lot cheaper than throwing money at it. I am here to help.
