Hi my name is Robert...
Remove the negative first then the positive make sure you do not touch the cables together or touch them to the chassis. I normally will remove one at a time and then put a rubber glove with tape over the cables. When you install positive cable and then negative, making sure not to touch the frame or other cable. I also recommend drawing a diagram or taking a picture of all the cables... Hope this helps... Robert

Just take your time mark everything it will be fine... A little sparking will be normal if you have an inverter shut it off.
