Note just checked inverter out put . it shows 8.5 volts

Sorry for the delay....
IF the converter output is only 8.5 volts then it has failed and would need to be replaced. The output when you first plug in should be around 13 volts and should maintain around 12 volts, 8.5 volts is not enough to power anything. IF you are using any adapters or extension cords I would get rid of them to rule out a line loss issue... Robert
