I have a 1994 Pace Arrow diesel pusher i over filled the water tank and got a water leak from under the carpet up near the front seats. small spot on the floor. what caused it?

I over filled the water tank but it went out the over flow near the kitchen outside. I would like to know if the water tank is up near the front and what would make it leak from under the carpet
