Cannot get our Carrier rooftop unit to come on. We checked the wiring, circuit breakers, fuse, and the air filter. Not sure it isn't a problem with the thermostat, but my husband wasn't sure how to get the cover off without breaking it. The display on the thermostat doesn't come on (except for showing Zone with a flashing 1 at the bottom of the screen) unless you turn the thermostat off and back on again. It was 95 degrees outside, and we turned the thermostat down to 62 and set mode to cool. It doesn't even act like it wants to turn on. Suggestions?

Thank you for using Just Answer, I will quickly, and methodicly work through your repair needs.......Thank you.........Michael, hi lets do this first, the carrier has an internal reset, that needs you to remove the 12volts from it,,,,,,,,,,,,sit for a minute and turn it back on............Unfortunatly these units are quite problamatic, and are no longer available,,,,,,,,,,,,,,give this a try, and well move on..................thanks
I agree that it's quite problematic. It has never worked well since it was first installed two years ago. Unfortunately, we are no longer where we have the RV parked and may not be back there for a week or so. If you can give us a few things to try when we go back that would be most helpful.
the reset is the key, then we need to open the unit up, begin testing the components.............However, the reset is NORMALLY the solution to this situation................thanks I'll be here when you are ready, or shortly thereafter........
